went to see Robert Plant at Hull City Hall 14th 11th 2014 and was taken aback with the sheer power, passion, quality and glory of the last internationale, standing in the queue to get in we were handed a flyer by a good looking young woman to be stunned seeing her on stage opening up the show, for a 3 piece this band rock, bought the album at the show and spoke to the guys afterward, have played it a dozen times already (in 3 days!)if you get a chance to see them GO we will be hunting them down again.

Thanks for reading FlashWounds and for taking the time to send a Comment ~ one that both brings up a very good, very legitimate question to which there is unfortunately only one very simple but nonetheless frustrating (for you, for the bands, and yes, even for us!) answer: timing. We love and respect every single local band that played (and of course Mongrel has a special place in our hearts) but we were all scheduled to be elsewhere during their sets. In no way did we plan on or want to omit all the local talent from our coverage, but ~ not an excuse, only a reason ~ we were spread too thin, something that is in some ways a blessing (lots to do!) and in many a curse (missing out on, in this case, giving bands the coverage they very much deserve), and although it’s often a difficult choice, we had to honor our commitments.

Again, absolutely no offense to or “snubbing of” any of the bands intended…this came down to a regrettable scheduling conflict.

The new song lets shake sounds ok but the way it sounds its just missing that old sounding rythem that the staycats have most of these songs that’s been made sents the straycats farewell tour just dosint have the same old rockabilly style sound I think the straycats need to reunite once and for all they have been gone for fare to long nothing or no one can come any weres close to sounding as great and wonderful. With there timeless sounds of smooth mellodys and time kinda stands still its more then just words when im listening to the straycats records in my 52 Plymouth it just kinda speaks to you like the old days of 1950s Americana an lost friends and loved ones it just takes you back to a differ place in time.
