The Colourist Announces Highly Anticipated Debut LP c/o Universal Republic
Full Length Album To Be Released on March 25th ~ iTune Preorder Available Feb 11th.
“It’s about time we get a whole new set of shiny sing-along anthems.” – Nylon
After the August release of their 4 song Lido EP, the infectious pop stylings of The Colourist have propelled them from the Orange County island they call home to some of the influential venues in the country. Ever since, eager fans have been hungry for more, which will finally arrive in the form of a self-titled debut LP care of Universal Republic Records on March 25th. This morning Nylon Magazine announced the record release along with the official video premiere of the album track, “Fix This.” The meticulously hand-crafted video was directed by filmmaker Willie Witte, relying solely on the magic of stop motion and craft supplies.

With the incendiary nature of their first single, “Little Games,” glistens through unshakable harmonies from co-vocalists Adam Castilla and Maya Tuttle as it builds into alternative pop bliss and has already started a fierce reaction within the press and radio alike. Outlets like Rolling Stone, MTV, FILTER, and Interview Magazine have all rallied behind the band and topping the charts on SiriusXM’s AltNation.
The Wilcox Sessions, Out Of Town Films, and Baeble Music brought new life to other gems from Lido, with video sessions of “We Won’t Go Home,” acoustic versions of “Little Games” and “Yes Yes,” and the premiere of “Stray Away,” through live video sessions.
