CES MMA XXV Was a Night Full of Surprises
On August 8, CES MMA once again delivered a night of great match-ups, perfect for its “AXS-TV FIGHTS” debut, and FlashWounds was there to capture some of the best action moments.
For those of you who weren’t able to make the fights in person at Twin River Casino in Providence, RI or catch them on AXS-TV, here are the results of the televised main card, including the two biggest surprises of the night, underdog Julian Lane winning the vacant lightweight title after defeating a completely shocked Luis Felix by submission (via guillotine, no less!) and Gemiyale Adkins (coming off losses of 3 consecutive and 6 of his past 7 bouts) putting an end to Nate Andrews’ unbeaten streak by unanimous decision:
Julian Lane def. Luis Felix
Gil de Freitas def. George Sheppard
Charles Rosa def. Jake Constant
Harley Beekman def. Chip Moraza-Pollard
Gemiyale Adkins def. Nate Andrews
Tateki Matsuda def. Robbie Leroux
