KAV Releases Title Track Off Forthcoming Album Man With No Shadow
FlashWounds first introduced you to KAV back in May, and now, following the excitement his previous single “Dance in a Panic” generated, picking up airplay from several US Radio tastemakers, KAV has just released his haunting new song “Man With No Shadow.” All dirty, fuzzy, bass-driven rock n’ roll, this is the title track from his forthcoming album The Man With No Shadow, out August 26 on Wild Echo Records. Originally from Leicester UK, one time Happy Mondays guitarist KAV is now based in LA. His music has been compared to that of artists as diverse as Iggy & The Stooges, BRMC, Primal Scream, The Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan by British and US press, and has been earning truly exceptional reviews of his talent and style:

He recently signed to new LA independent label Wild Echo Records and his first single, “Dance in A Panic,” was used in a video teaser featuring Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul dancing to the track for his new movie Decoding Annie Parker. You can watch the Aaron Paul clip here. In May, KAV, featuring founding member of Oasis Bonehead guesting on guitar, played the legendary Viper Room.
More About KAV
KAV has earned support from a slew of big names of over the years. His first band, A.K.A Weave, signed and worked with ex-Oasis bassist Guigsy on his brand new label. After the band split in 2003, KAV joined Manchester legends Happy Mondays on guitar, working closely with front man Shaun William Ryder (who also featured on the Gorillaz hit single “Dare”). KAV played with the Happy Mondays until 2007, touring internationally and playing festivals including Coachella, Fuji Rock, V Festival, and many more. He was also responsible for co-launching UK club-night & festival GETLOADED with London club Turnmills.
Since launching his solo project, KAV has supported UK band Kasabian on their Brixton Academy show, headlined Club NME @ KOKO, played the Olympics in Hyde Park London, and toured the west coast of the US with Norwegian band Datarock. He has also played SXSW and CMJ stateside.
The Man with No Shadow is KAV’s debut full-length release, which he’s been recording and perfecting since 2008 between the UK and LA.
KAV will headline his album launch party on August 30 @ The Satellite in LA; more tour dates to be announced this fall.
