Festival d’été de Québec Announces 2014 Line-up ~ And It’s Going to Blow You Away!
Have you ever seen a line-up like this one? We don’t think so!
The Festival d’ete de Quebec ~ 300 shows in 10 venues from July 3 – 13 in Old Quebec City ~ has just announced its [amazing!] line-up of performers for this year’s event…and once again, it’s a stellar roster of artists from a variety of genres. You need only read our article “Through the Years…My Love Affair with the Festival d’été de Québec” to know how truly incredible this annual extravaganza is, and this year promises to once again thrill audiences like no other Festival can!
How do Billy Joel, Lady Gaga, The Killers, Snoop Dogg, Journey, Soundgarden, Queens Of The Stone Age, Bryan Adams, Marillion, Blondie, Cypress Hill, and The Pretty Reckless sound for starters?
If any (or all, more likely!) of those names have piqued your interest, watch the official Festival video announcing all the performers you’ll have the chance to see this summer.
For a day-by-day calendar of performers and their set times/locations, please visit this link. Make sure to take in shows at as many of the venues ~ indoors and out ~ as you can…they are all beautiful, and the crowning jewel, the Bell Stage on the Plains of Abraham, will take your breath away when you look around and realize you are sharing an outdoor concert ~ always with the finest lighting, sounds, and overall production value ~ with over 180,000 other people who love music as much as you do!
Take time before the shows begin each evening to explore the city, too…there’s something beyond words about wandering around (which can include shopping, stopping into a few pubs and restaurants, pausing to look at artists’ work displayed on the sidewalks, strolling by the water, and soaking in the beautiful architecture) a quaint European-style city during the day and then rocking out in that same city ~ now turned concert and late-night bar/club party destination ~ at night!
Tickets and passes are going FAST (and you can see why!), so be sure to go here to purchase yours now…if you miss out on the 2014 Festival, you’re going to regret it, we guarantee it!

The Street Arts performers will be announced in May, so stay tuned!
And how’s this for a great combination? The same people who bring you this killer Festival ~ the best music, a party atmosphere that takes over the city, special contests, street performers, and so much more ~ are also aware of the Festival d’été de Québec’s environmental impact and are committed to reducing its ecological footprint and pursuing sustainable development. They invite all festivalgoers to help them go green, and you can find out how, along with how they give back to the community, here.
