“Reminiscent of Beach House’s darkly quixotic work, saturated with fragility and painful longing.”
— Pitchfork
“Take note of this London band”
– USA Today
“Woman’s Hour are the architects of the most intelligent new music we’ve heard this year.”
— The Line of Best Fit

London’s Woman’s Hour today announce their debut album Conversations will be released through Secretly Canadian on July 15th. In celebration of the announcement, the band have also released a stream of their new single and album’s title track. “Conversations” offers a different facet of Woman’s Hour with its propulsive rhythm and intimate vocals that mirror the song’s lyrics about the secret world and language every couple develops. Stream it on SoundCloud and YouTube.

Layering the lovelorn subtlety of Fiona Burgess’ vocal delivery over a backdrop of intricately woven electronic textures, Conversations is an intimate 11-track master class in the art of left-field pop minimalism. The album includes the string of transfixing singles that established them as fearless pop innovators; “Our Love Has No Rhythm”, “To the End”, “Darkest Place”, and “Her Ghost”.

Following an incredible few months which have seen them become the 6th most blogged artist of 2013 on HypeMachine, collaborate on videos and artwork with celebrated visual artists Broomberg and Chanarin, support Metronomy, Anna Calvi and Volcano Choir, and a highly successful run of shows in SXSW (BBC Introducing, Under The Radar), New York and LA, Woman’s Hour have created what is sure to be one of 2014 most spellbinding debuts.

Woman’s Hour are Fiona Burgess, Will Burgess, Josh Hunnisett and Nicolas Graves.
