Sometimes the universe comes through for us and lets us enjoy a weekend evening instead of having to spend it ~ at least in my case last night ~ on a project that’s about as much fun as what follows the words “OK, now I’m going to need you to cough…” I’d given up all hope of making it to CT in time to cover The Smashing Pumpkins/Marilyn Manson The End Times Tour stop at Foxwoods (see a list of the few remaining dates here) but at the very, very last minute, the project from hell came together and I was in fact able to catch a decent chunk of the show ~ and here are some of photos of  two sets that offered up a less shock-obsessed Manson (who has announced a slew of post-tour dates) and an oddly subdued  Pumpkins; the former has maintained his onstage magnetism, but Billy Corgan and company seem to have lost a bit of their signature passion for performing.
