Indian Ranch Celebrates Buddy Guy’s Birthday With Special Ticket Offer

General Admission Tickets for Buddy Guy’s August 23rd concert are available for just $19.36 this Wednesday and Thursday (July 29 and 30)

 

 

Born in 1936, Buddy Guy, still performing, touring, and entertaining audiences with unbelievable energy, turns 79 this Thursday! To pay homage to this musical legend who will be gracing the lakeside Indian Ranch venue ~ which has earned high praise for its intimate feel and for offering unobstructed sight lines to the stage from every seat in the amphitheater ~ on Sunday, August 23 at 2:00pm (with openers Erin Harpe and the Delta Swingers), Indian Ranch is offering general admission tickets for just $19.36 from Wednesday, July 29 at 12:00am through Thursday night, July 30 at 11:59pm.

Buddy Guy, a major influence on rock guitar titans including Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan as well as a continuing influence on established and up and coming musicians the world over, a pioneer of Chicago’s fabled West Side sound and a living link to that city’s illustrious days as the epicenter of the electric blues, is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, recipient of six Grammys, a special 2015 Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award, 34 Blues Music Awards, the Billboard magazine Century Award for Distinguished Artistic Achievement, and the Presidential National Medal of Arts. Rolling Stone ranked him in the top 25 of its “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.” He will be releasing his new studio album, Born to Play Guitar, on his birthday.
