The FlashWounds Story

 

Hello and welcome to FlashWounds!

 

We are editors, concert photographers, music journalists, band managers, musicians and,  just like you, music lovers.

FlashWounds came into existence quite organically, founded by a Sr. Editor and Sr. Photographer who met while the former was in the process of taking a top regional lifestyle and entertainment magazine and website and turning them national, starting with their respective music sections.

 

FlashWounds.com, focused on music (with a healthy measure of horror, MMA, and various other topics added to the mix) and its mission of delivering “Backstage News, Front Row Pics” to its devoted readers thanks to an extensive industry network, is a self-described enigma, seldom following any tried and true formula but instead sticking to a substantive and entertaining style all its own ~ one that, with the contributions of music journalists, writers, and photographers from all over the country, keeps both the industry’s respect and their international readership’s attention with coverage of a variety of genres, yet-unknown bands to the biggest names in music today, festivals and conventions to local shows…none ever presented in a predictable manner and always with a little wink and nudge.  

There’s no way we could have done all of this alone, and there’s no way we’d have been able to expand our coverage beyond the Northeast, without the help of some amazing people: not only do we have a fantastic staff, but we also continue to have access to the most current, most comprehensive information about what’s going on in the music world thanks to our collaborations with some of the most incredible PR firms, tour managers, reps, promoters, and booking agents in the business… So to everyone who keeps us supplied with all these fantastic opportunities, letting us get a little star-struck, discover hidden gems right in our own backyards, get that pic that captures a perfect concert moment, and conduct the interview with the artist we’ve always dreamed of meeting so that we in turn can bring the latest and greatest to you, we offer a huge THANK YOU!
