ABOUT SUNFLOWER DEAD

SD3

Sunflower Dead ~ whose fans are known as “evil seeds” ~ are anything but strangers to the hard rock and metal scene, as the band is a rebirth of sorts. Three-fifths of it rise from the ashes of former nationally recognized touring acts Droid and Two Hit Creeper. The remaining two band members have toured internationally with Buckethead, In This Moment, and Memento. Their former bands have earned national recognition by touring alongside Korn, Linkin Park, Hellyeah, Five Finger Death Punch, and by being part of The Family Values Tour & the Vans Warped Tour. For an even more in-depth look at the musicians behind the make-up, read the FlashWounds article “Watch Sunflower Dead Bring Heavy Music Back to Life” HERE, and make sure to get your copy of the new album as soon as it’s released!

SD5“Sunflower Dead has somehow managed to arrive at that magical place where precisely the right amount of rock, metal, freak, movement, stage presence, aggression, exceptional musicianship, cohesiveness as a band, magnetic showmanship, and the intangible but vitally important “that something special” all meet and produce the strongest, most riveting performance we’ve seen in quite a while, one that really could reanimate someone’s appreciation of music if it had begun to wane from seeing too many bands who have lost that fire.” ~ Lara Dean, Owner/Editor, FlashWounds, after seeing the band play live (check out a clip of that 2014 performance HERE ).
