Festival d’été de Québec 2015 pretty much had a lock on putting together the most impressive line-up of the best known bands and musicians representing almost every genre you could name (as well as, like they do every year, bringing in artists whose music is excellent but has not yet gotten the exposure it deserves…but that all changes after a Festival performance) ~ I mean, just look at the poster that we shared with you as soon as the initial list of performers was made public:

And sure, we knew that there were some surprises yet to come, but this particular surprise, well, damn!!  Megadeth has just been added to the already stellar line-up and will be playing on Saturday, July 18 on the gorgeous Bell Stage on the Plains of Abraham (more on the history of not only the Plains, an incredible site for a concert ~ I’ll never forget looking behind me during our first time covering Festival and being awestruck by the image of 125,000 people gathered under the stars ~ but also Old Quebec City, as much a part of the experience as the music, later).

My Spidey senses are telling me there will be more announcements soon, but in the meantime, revel in the newest addition to the line-up and don’t forget that you can head here and click on the image of any performer to access videos, song streams, bios, websites, and more.  Also don’t forget that the Festival is almost sold out (I believe only General Passes are still available), so you don’t want to wait any longer before securing your passes. Make the most of the “Handy Tips” and “The Festival” tabs, too, because they contain a lot of valuable information.  And did I mention…MEGADETH IS PLAYING!

300 SHOWS – 10 STAGES – 11 DAYS OF MUSIC

See you there!
