Santa Cruz Go “6(66) Feet Under”
Finnish shredders Santa Cruz, who mesh the guitar excess and irresistible exuberance of the ’80s with a refreshingly modern and youth-gone-wild vibe (which thank goodness comes hand in, uh, hand with black leather nuthuggers and enough bare chests to keep this girl happy for quite a while) that equals pure, swaggering rock ‘n’ roll with lots and lots of grooves, have unleashed their brand new song “6(66) Feet Under” via MetalSucks. And the icing on the cake? When asked the usual genre question, they reply with a half-smile, half sneer that would make Billy Idol proud, “Pure fucking adrenaline” ~ and a bunch of the album’s tracks have earned an “Explicit” rating…so you know the good times are comin’ atcha.

The band’s self-titled second album is out March 10 via Spinefarm Records and the boys ~ Archie: Vocals, Guitar, Johnny: Guitar, Backing Vocals, Middy: Bass, Backing Vocals, Taz: Drums, Backing Vocals ~ will be here this spring, touring with their labelmates Amaranthe.
