January 24, smack dab in the middle of this ugly season, headliner John Brown’s Body ~ a band introduced to us by contributing photographer Kim Marchand as “…one of my absolute favorites, I don’t care if there’s a blizzard, I will NOT miss this show!” (and now having become familiar with the band thanks to Kim, we can see why she is so devoted to them and their music and all-around vibe) ~ and the rest of the line-up gave the full house at Paradise Rock Club something to combat the dreariness that comes with winter: a night of irresistible, uplifting music that had the audience moving, singing, and feeling a strong connection to each other and the bands. There were a few JBB newbies in the crowd, but not for long ~ they embraced and were embraced by the band’s sound and performance almost immediately, showing part of what makes JBB so special…And thanks to Kim, we get to share great photos of that night with you, so please enjoy, and then check out the links for all three bands and try to catch each one live the next time you have the chance!
