Within Temptation’s Let Us Burn DVD Debuts on American Billboard Chart
Thanks to the overwhelming fan support in the U.S., Dutch symphonic rockers WITHIN TEMPTATION have gone back-to-back-to-back with American Billboard chart debuts, and their star continues to rise over the west.
This past February, the band’s sixth studio album Hydra debuted at #16 on the American Billboard Top 200 Albums. Two weeks ago, the 2-in-1 reissued version of WITHIN TEMPTATION‘s long out-of-print full-length debut album Enter (1997) and The Dance EP (1998) debuted at #98 on the American Billboard Hard Rock chart. Today, their Let Us Burn: Elements & Hydra Live in Concert DVD has debuted at #41 on the American Billboard Hard Music chart.
That’s three separate releases in a ten month span resulting in three debuts on the American Billboard charts.
In baseball-speak, they’re 3-for-3 with a 1.000 batting average. In basketball terms, they boast a 100% three-point field goal percentage. In the football world, they’ve scored three consecutive touchdown passes to win the Super Bowl of Music. God bless America. In plain old mainstream terms, they are kicking ass!
Two evenings with dazzling on-stage imagery, special effects, and fire-breathing dragons were captured in high-definition with pro audio mixed in 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound in sold-out arenas in Antwerp, Belgium and Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Commemorating the band’s 15th anniversary of existence, every nuance in the dynamic performances of WITHIN TEMPTATION‘s most requested career-spanning compositions ~ including new music from Hydra ~ has been visually & sonically preserved. Hydra ~ the follow-up album to 2011’s Billboard Top 200 album, The Unforgiving ~ debuted at #16 on the Billboard Top 200 chart this past February, marking WITHIN TEMPTATION’s first appearance in the Billboard Top 20. It also debuted at #12 on the Billboard Digital Albums chart, #1 on both the iTunes Rock & iTunes Metal charts, and #1 on Amazon’s Hard Rock & Metal chart for two consecutive weeks. At radio the week of release, Hydra had the highest chart debut and ranked in the Top 5 on the CMJ Loud Rock chart. In Europe, Hydra debuted at #1 in The Netherlands & the Czech Republic and secured the #2 position in Switzerland & Finland, #4 in Germany, #6 in the U.K., and #9 in France.
