Atmospheric/Progressive Metallers Nero Di Marte Debut New Track “Pulsar”

 Nero

Sophomore effort Derivae scheduled for international release on Oct. 27

Nero bandTake advantage of the chance to listen to “Pulsar,” a new song from Italian progressive/experimental metal act NERO DI MARTE‘s upcoming sophomore release Derivae, here. You can also read an exclusive interview with vocalist Sean Worell on the band’s influences and their organic recording process here.

Three years in the making, Derivae ~ the follow-up to NERO DI MARTE‘s acclaimed self-titled debut ~ was recorded at Italy’s Studio73 with Riccardo “Rico” Passini (Ephel Duath), as was its predecessor. Featuring seven ethereal tracks the band describes as “claustrophobic, hypnotic, dark and sometimes overwhelming and tragic,” the album bursts with passion at every note. The album’s title, taken from the Italian phrase “andare alla Deriva” (“to go adrift”), correlates with its lyrical themes, which vocalist Sean Worrell describes as “tragically searching for something that maybe isn’t there…letting yourself go and becoming swayed by the unknown.”

All Derivae digital pre-orders include “instant grat” downloads of both “Pulsar” and another new song, “Il Diluvio.”
