Within Temptation Launch North American Tour in September
After seven years, words we’ve been longing to hear: “The wait is finally over.”
Dutch symphonic rockers WITHIN TEMPTATION proudly announce their headlining return to North America on the western leg of their Hydra World Tour. The 12-show trek launches on September 25th in San Francisco, California and ends on October 11th in Worcester, Massachusetts. Opening all dates will be Swedish/Danish power/melodic death metallers Amaranthe.
Lead vocalist Sharon den Adel shares the following about the upcoming trek: “It’s a great feeling that after so many years, we are back with a coast-to-coast tour. The reception of our latest album Hydra has been overwhelming and we cannot wait to unleash the dragon overseas. Despite a three-year absence, Hydra debuted at #16 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and also secured the #1 position on both the Billboard Top Independent Albums & the Billboard Top Hard Music Albums charts. Digitally, Hydra was the #1 best-selling album on both the iTunes Rock and iTunes Metal charts. On Amazon’s Hard Rock & Metal chart, it held the #1 position for two weeks in a row.
At commercial and college radio, Hydra exploded as the #1 most added record in the country and had the highest chart debut of the week ranking in the Top 5 on the CMJ Loud Rock chart.
In Europe, Hydra debuted at #1 in The Netherlands & The Czech Republic and secured the #2 position in Switzerland & Finland, #4 in Germany, #6 in the U.K., and #9 in France.
