The Dead Daisies ~ We’re Talkin’ One Hell of a Line-up, New EP, and Tour Schedule
The phrase “best new classic rock band” might sound like something of a contradiction, but we think that once you listen to The Dead Daisies’ new EP Face I Love, premiered earlier today via UCR, you’ll agree that it’s the perfect description ~ plus just look at the band’s incredibly talented (and familiar!) members: Jon Stevens (Noiseworks/INXS), Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses/Psychedelic Furs), Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy/Whitesnake), Dizzy Reed (Guns N’ Roses/Hookers N’ Blow) David Lowy (Red Phoenix/Mink), and newest member Brian Tichy (Billy Idol/Ozzy Ozbourne)! I’m pretty sure the term “supergroup” applies here, too!
In addition to having amazing careers outside the band, the group ~ formed by singer-songwriter Stevens and guitarist Lowy in 2012 ~ as a whole has already toured with Aerosmith, Bad Co., Wolfmother, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and more, played with Slash and at the Rockstar Uproar Festival, toured all over the globe, and will now be joining KISS and Def Leppard on tour throughout August.
Last week the band stopped by Playboy Radio to play some tunes and are sharing the live video for “Washington,” recorded at Playboy studios Enjoy!
