Alter Bridge to Hit The Road for Their Final 2014 U.S. Headline Tour This October

Band on Tour in Support of Their Latest Critically Acclaimed Album Fortress

Hard rock’s greatest asset in recent years, Alter Bridge, is hitting the road stateside one more time in 2014. The band will be heading out on a headline run this October in support of their latest album, Fortress (read our review of the album here). This latest 13-city run comes on the heels of their sold-out run this past spring that had critics across the country singing AB’s praises. Just one example of many, ArtistDirect raved about the band’s live show: “Alter Bridge deserves to be one of the biggest bands in North America… It’s time for a revolution over here. It’s time for Alter Bridge to rule….”

 

The headline tour kicks off October 7^th in Louisville and runs through October 26^th when it wraps up in Los Angeles ~ more dates may be added during the tour, so stay tuned. Alter Bridge will be heading to Huntington, St. Louis, Seattle and San Francisco, to name just a few of their upcoming stops (read our review of their May Chicago show at HoB here. Alter Bridge will also be making a stop at the upcoming Louder Than Life Festival (read our complete rundown of the Festival here) on October 4^th before their headline tour kicks off. The festival is taking place in Louisville, KY and Alter Bridge will be playing alongside the likes of Judas Priest, Korn, Limp Bizkit and Stone Temple Pilots to name a few. Alter Bridge burst onto the music scene in 2004 with the release of their gold-selling debut One Day Remains.  In 2007, the band released Blackbird, the album that elevated their profile worldwide.  Guitarist Magazine voted the epic solo in the title track “Blackbird” the “Greatest Guitar Solo Of All Time.” ABIII was released in 2010 and the single “Isolation” gave the band their first #1 single.  Alter Bridge has appeared on “The Tonight Show” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” and the WWE, Major League Baseball, and NASCAR have all used their music.  When AlterBridge is on hiatus, singer Myles Kennedy can be found fronting Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators (read our article and interview with Slash and Myles here).  Guitarist Mark Tremonti recently released his first solo project, All I Was, that included Wolfgang Van Halen playing bass with Mark on the road.
