Origin Announces North American Headlining Dates!
Genre defining technical death metal giants Origin ~ Jason Keyser – vocals, Paul Ryan – guitars/vocals, Mike Flores – bass/vocals, John Longstreth – drums ~ have announced tour dates for their North American headlining tour following their appearance on Summer Slaughter!
“We are excited to announce our first headlining tour in North America since 2012, in full support of our new album Omnipresent,” says vocalist Jason Keyser. “We will be taking our signature brand of technical death metal savagery to some new cities, as well as some areas neglected by the Summer Slaughter tour, in order to ensure that everyone has a chance to experience the insanity that is a live Origin performance! Joining us on this journey into bedlam will be our brothers in tech-death wizardry, Montreal’s Beyond Creation, and the hard thrashin’ metal maniacs in Melbourne’s King Parrot, as well as Abolishment Of Flesh and Your Chance To Die on select dates. A line up like this will be a nonstop aural and visual assault from beginning to end, and our goal is to have you remembering it as the show of the summer! See you in the pit! Hail Space!”
“Super excited to present some new material on our ‘All Things Dead’ tour as well as some old favorites,” adds guitarist Paul Ryan. “Plus mix it up with some bands that ‘bring it’ live as well! Omnipresent was recorded and mixed with longtime producer/engineer Robert Rebeck at Chapman Recording in Lenexa, KS. The album was mastered at Menegroth – The Thousand Caves with Colin Marston, and features artwork once again by Colin Marks (Nevermore, Kataklysm, Exodus). The album marks the recording debut of Jason Keyser (ex-Skinless), who has being touring with Origin as their vocalist since the release of Entity. “Origin records albums in a somewhat masochistic, chaotic, and senseless fashion,” comments drummer John Longstreth. “It’s our best trick, and we need the best guy for our best trick, so that’s why we have Jason. He’s had two years of hard road work with the band and we know he’s the guy. For those that weren’t aware, Origin recorded Entity as a trio without a proper vocalist, so we are very excited to have Jason in to do what a proper vocalist is supposed to do.”
