Introducing ANIMALS

Animals 1

Listen to debut track, “Ceilings” (Paperwhite Remix), on All Things Go.

A monumental synth-pop reimagining that sounds like Imagine Dragons‘ finer moments. ~ All Things Go

Music was not always a part of the ANIMALS story.  A Harvard grad-turned-street artist reclaimed his love for making music after a life-crushing hiatus.  “By day, I found myself so discontent with what this ‘real world’ I worked so hard for had to offer.  At night I found myself creating art on buildings and thought the only thing missing now is music. I was fighting the inevitable and left my job for what I always loved to do before college.”

The music consummated when Williamsburg neighbors SKYES and PAPERWHITE all met at a warehouse party showcasing some of the artwork.   “It felt like a terrible and predictable episode of “Girls”  but in the end ANIMALS was created.”  The remix was agreed upon before a note was even written and now here it is:

ANIMALS’ “Ceilings” (Paperwhite Remix) (Official Audio)

“Ceilings’” verses are super-intimate snapshots of memories that sound like the nostalgic script of a 90s teen movie: “Tomorrow when we say goodbye, we’ll promise that we’ll always stay the same // This is the town we used to know, this is the school we used to own.”

ANIMALS has a sense of honesty and truth. Trying to pave its own way in a very synth pop world, this song slows down and has a conversation.  There is a sense of love and loss.  “So far, I have only written about the same potent ten seconds of my life.  The creative well isn’t dry, we’ll see where it takes me next.”
