London’s The Safety Fire ~ Sean McWeeney ~ Vocals (@seanmcw), Joaquin Ardiles ~ Guitars (@jovendor), Derya Nagle ~ Guitars (@playgle), Lori Peri ~ Bass (@buckalori), and Calvin Smith ~ Drums (@calvinTSF) ~ have had a busy first half of 2014, touring both UK & Europe, and the US & Canada with their good friends Protest The Hero.   While away on tour, the band filmed a brand new video for the track “Glass Crush,” giving us a glimpse into their high energy performances that have been exciting audiences (not to mention continuing to win over critics) over the past few months.

The Safety Fire have shared the stage with bands including Rise To Remain, The Arusha Accord, Bleed From Within, Xerath, Periphery, Monuments, Metallica, Slipknot, Mastodon, and The Mars Volta and, despite being comparatively new to “the scene,” formed in 2006 and only beginning to command serious attention after the release of their 2009 EP Sections, have proven in spades that they can hold their own with some of music’s greatest legends.  Their live shows are non-stop energy, passion, showmanship, and technical prowess and are not to be missed.

The band, who describe their music as technical, progressive metal, also have a string of appearances at summer festivals confirmed, and guitarist Derya “Dez” Nagle had this to say about playing those summertime gigs: “’Glass Crush’ is our R’n’B summer time classic, and what better way to celebrate than with a video. We’d like to see some lively dance moves at our summer festival appearances.”  You heard him, The Safety Fire wants to see you dance, so when they take the stage, get up and show them some love by shakin’ what your mama gave you!
