Fellow Austin and Houston artists Orthy and Bagheera produced two excellent remixes of “After Dark.” Since Night Drive, Orthy and Bagheera are all part of the Red Bull Sound Select family, RBSS will be releasing the After Dark EP for free in select record stores. Look for that later this month.

Night Drive is not a band. It’s two secret agents, Rodney Connell and Brandon Duhon on a mission, sent to recalibrate the future of electro-pop.

Night Drive is kind of music you might hear on a car stereo if Giorgio Moroder and Ray Bradbury were driving late at night through a buzzing metropolis. Inspired by dark wave and synthpop, by a bygone Studio 54-era of glamour, excess, kalioscopic neon lights, and Tony Wilson’s Hacienda and drawing influences from artists including Brian Eno, The Knife, The Drums, New Order and LCD Soundsystem, the driving beat and dancing synths this duo produces make you want to jet off to some great nightclub in the sky.
