Hard Rockers Edge Of Paradise ~ Poised on the Edge Of Stardom

The Edge of Paradise

Hard rock band Edge Of Paradise ~ Margarita Monet – vocals, Dave Bates – guitars, Baris Ari – bass, and Ryan Gio – drums ~ was formed by Monet and Bates in 2011. Their debut release Mask (co-written with Robin McAuley and featuring Gregg Bissonette and Tony Franklin) came in as the #6 most added album on national CMJ radio, right behind veterans Machine Head and Five Finger Death Punch. The album was a combination of industrial-tinged metal coupled with soaring vocal hooks and received an amazing reception worldwide from critics and fans alike. Legendary Rock Interviews stated that, “Once in a while a new band comes along that not only has a unique sound of its own but draws upon all the things we love about metal or rock to begin with. Edge of Paradise are one of the best independent bands to come out of L.A. in some time.”

That level of praise, coupled with their undeniable musical talent and magnetic stage presence, is no doubt how they were able to land Michael Wagener (Metallica, Ozzy, and more) to mix their new album and Bob Kulick (KISS, Motorhead) to produce it.  Perfect Shade Of Black is due out in May, and Edge Of Paradise ~ who recently completed a successful East Coast tour, selling 2000 limited edition physical EPs to create some additional buzz over the upcoming release of their second full length studio album ~ will be hitting the road again soon in promotion of Perfect Shade, building on that buzz and no doubt adding legions to their already impressive fan base.

They are also releasing a music video for the track “Rise For The Fallen” in April, so stay tuned for details.  And if you can’t wait for the tour or the music video, head here for a preview of 5 tracks from Perfect Shade Of Black!

There seems no doubt that Edge Of Paradise ~ who cite Black Sabbath, Ronnie James Dio, Axl Rose, Slash, Led Zeppelin, and Van Halen as some of their personal favorites ~ are about to find themselves the new darlings of the hard rock world ~ and cementing that status will be their participation in renown rock photographer Kevin Estrada’s Rockers Against Trafficking  benefit show (more like an extravaganza) ~ sponsored by Monster Energy and Schecter Guitars and featuring (along with a slew of very cool giveaways) an staggering line-up of legendary musicians ~ to raise money for C.A.S.T. (Coalition to Abolish Slavery & Trafficking); all proceeds will be donated to this foundation committed to putting an end to human trafficking.
