In October of 2013, Age of End released their highly anticipated new EP entitled Torn and Severed, the band’s follow up release to their impressive 2009 debut The Rhythm of the Slaughter which gained them endorsements with Arnar Clothing, In-Tune Guitar Picks and Silverfox Drumsticks, amongst others. It also gained them a fiercely devoted following of fans whose numbers continue to grow as the band becomes more and more well-known and sought after across not only the East Coast, but the US as a whole.

In March of 2014, the band will begin its East Coast “Torn and Severed Tour,” headlining each one of the dates. As Age of End hails from New England, received an award from the 2013 New England Music Awards for Best Hardcore Metal Act, and feels a special connection to their “homebase fans” who’ve been with them since the beginning, that’s where they’ve decided to begin the tour; it will make its way down through Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, wrapping up in the Carolinas.  Please check the band’s site for tour dates/times and locations.

More About Age of End

Formed in late 2008 against the backdrop of Massachusetts’ Merrimack Valley, Age of End deftly manipulates a variety of genres into a rhythmically powerful and musically diverse sound. Influences of metal, hardcore, and hard rock are evident throughout the band’s newest EP, Torn and Severed (2013), but never overpower their own signature style.

Age of End has been played on dozens of FM and Internet radio stations from coast to coast in the US and in over 20 countries worldwide, including the UK, France, Poland, Estonia, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Finland, Indonesia, and more. The band has been featured by close to a hundred publications, websites, and blogs, most notably AOL’s Hard Rock/Metal blog, Noisecreep, ALT Sounds(UK), and, in July ’10, as a featured artist on Reverbnation.com. The band has also licensed its music/likeness to dozens of media outlets to be featured in video games (“Play Live Play Loud” on NEGB1 internet radio), on EA Kroll Radio Network, and on film (Blood Was Everywhere, released independently in 2012).

CROPSince their first show in July ‘09, Age of End has been given the opportunity to play with (and impress!) a wide variety of national acts including Shinedown, Puddle of Mudd, Killswitch Engage, Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach, Emmure, Sevendust, Nonpoint, Chevelle, Cold, Soulfly, 10 Years, Trivium, God Forbid, Unearth, Prong, and more. The band has also been a part of multiple festivals including WCYY’s “Oxxfest.”

Capitalizing on the buzz surrounding the band, Age of End rushed back into the studio to record a promotional single “Souls to Bleed,” which debuted on X107.5 FM Las Vegas in April 2012.

In 2013, the band added publicist Erik A Kroll and booking agent Patty Seifert to the team. In April, the positive reaction generated by the band earned them the New England Music Award for Best Hardcore/Metal Act of the year, a richly deserved accolade for one of the hardest working, focused bands in hard rock today.

Age of End is Chad Hickman (vocals), Mark McKellar (guitar), Matt Sheehan (bass), and Alex Wagner (drums).
