Rick Florino of ArtistDirect.com had the opportunity to speak with WITHIN TEMPTATION vocalist Sharon den Adel when she and guitarists Robert Westerholt & Ruud Jolie were in Los Angeles last month on a promotional trip supporting of their sixth studio album, Hydra.
They discussed the melancholy in the song “The Whole World Is Watching,” Xzibit’s rap on “And We Run,” and to what movie Hydra could be compared, to which Sharon responded, “When you think of the artwork, it might be very cool to be say something like ‘Game Of Thrones.’ It has that epic thing to it. The album is a little less orchestral than the previous. There’s still a lot of adrenaline like the story of ‘Game Of Thrones.’ They have so many characters in the series that it would fit well!”
