Chiodos and the band’s new imprint drk/lght records in partnership with Razor & Tie has launched an innovative digital pre-order initiative.  Prior to the April 1 release of Devil, six songs of the thirteen track album will be made available digitally to all fans who pre-order the album.  Today, “Why The Munsters Matter” and “Ole Fishlips Is Dead Now” will be delivered upon purchase on iTunes here.  Additional songs will follow, with specific tracks planned for release February 25, March 4, March 11 and March 18.

Chiodos FishlipsThe band will be premiering a video for every song on Devil pre-release.  On January 27, “Ole Fishlips Is Dead Now” went live via Alt Press, and can be screened here Today, Absolute Punk premieres “Why The Munsters Matter,” which can be viewed here.  The final week of the pre-release campaign will feature an additional six video premieres following the initial six that will be staggered throughout February and March.  All fans will have the opportunity to hear the entire album prior to the April 1 release of Devil.

Guitarist Pat McManaman shares, “I’m excited for the iTunes pre-order and the fact we will be releasing 6 instant gratification tracks leading up to the release. I think it’s a great way to reward people that preorder the album.”

CHIODOS-DevilChiodos has announced additional tour dates planned for April and May in both Canada and The U.S.  Today, a tour pre-sale goes live with three VIP ticketing choices alongside a general admission ticketing option. For Devil Dance Tour 2014 tickets, head here.  Prior, the band will stage six shows the week of release from April 1-6, where all tickets will be bundled with a copy of the April 1 release Devil (tix on sale 2/21).  The Devil Dance Tour 2014 begins on April 15.  For all shows through May 5, Chiodos will be joined by support acts Emarosa, Our Last Night, and 68.  On May 7, Hands Like Houses will be added to the bill, appearing on all dates through May 21.  A complete list of confirmed appearances follows below.  Chiodos’ Bradley Bell says, “It’s exciting to be able to do a full U.S. headliner again. We haven’t done one in years and we’re looking forward to have the opportunity to play for our old school fans and new ones at the same time. What better way to celebrate our new album and tour than with friends and bands that we’ve met along the way.  It’s going to be a lot of fun!” 

The band has launched a merchandising pre-order with sixteen assorted options for fans.  Bundles featuring both CDs and vinyl are available alongside multiple new designs on shirts and hoodies.  Additional new items include backpacks and Chiodos headphones.  Details can be found here.

The band’s release of Devil finds founding front man Craig Owens and drummer Derrick Frost reunited with band members Bradley Bell, Pat Mcmanaman and Matt Goddard.  The sessions also mark the first Chiodos album to feature lead guitarist Thomas Erak (The Fall Of Troy).  Devil is produced by David Bottrill (Tool, Muse, Stone Sour) and mixed by Josh Wilbur.

Formed in 2001 in Davison Michigan (just outside Flint, MI), Chiodos released two full length studio albums with lead vocalist Craig Owens: All’s Well That Ends Well (2005) and Bone Palace Ballet (2007) resulting in sales of over 500,000 units and 740,000 digital tracks in North America alone.  All’s Well That Ends Well debuted at #3 on the Billboard  Heatseekers’ Chart and Bone Palace Ballet debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart, and #1 on the Billboard Independent, Alternative, Rock and Hard Rock Charts. During a well-documented brief time apart from lead vocalist Owens formed/played with new band D.R.U.G.S. and Chiodos released their third album, Illuminaudio, in 2010.  Owens reunited with Chiodos in early 2012 and soon after the band added guitarist Thomas Erak.   During the last year, the band played a handful of high profile U.S. shows and toured the UK in early 2013 as part of an annual Kerrang! Magazine branded tour.   The band has graced the cover of Alternative Press twice and front man Owens has graced the cover five times. Chiodos has received accolades worldwide praising the band’s innovative and exhilarating sound.  The band has been a headliner across the globe, as well as touring with bands including Linkin Park, Coheed And Cambria, N.I.N., Alice In Chains, 30 Seconds To Mars, Bad Religion and many more.
