DIRTY PHONICS

Everyone, may I please have your attention!  Before you do anything else today…eat, work, even take a bathroom break…there is one thing you MUST do right now. N-O-W. You must make sure you don’t already have any plans for Thursday, March 27 ~ because if you do, you’re going to have to cancel them…immediately.  Why?  That’s easy: French bass act/band Dirtyphonics are performing in Boston, MA on 3/27 at House of Blues as direct support for Canadian bass master Excision and his Excision 2014 Tour

…and there’s no way you’re going to want to be anywhere else but in the audience that night, gettin’ crazy.

dirty phonics albumDirtyphonics are currently working on a new EP of original music set for release later this year as a follow-up to their debut full-length album Irreverence, released last year on Dim Mak Records. Merging heavy bass music, drum & bass, dubstep, and electro with grimy, dance-your-ass-off club energy, the group penned a fresh playbook for the genre with Irreverence, supported by collaborations from the likes of Dim Mak founder (and icon)  Steve Aoki himself, Modestep, Foreign Beggars, and The Duke Spirit’s vocalist Liela Moss. That’s quite a line-up of guest artists, wouldn’t you say?

The album includes a slew of singles, including the most recent ~ “Hanging On Me” (featuring Liela Moss) ~ and the accompanying Hanging On Me (Remixes) EP, boasting a diverse arsenal of remixes: Borgore and Ookay with a hardstyle-driven bass bomb, Kastle with a modern take on 2-step garage and Chicago house with a soulful twist, and Slogun & iOh with a new school drum & bass rendition. Dirtyphonics also previously released the single “No Stopping Us”featuring critically acclaimed U.K. rap/grime/dubstep group Foreign Beggars as well as the corresponding No Stopping Us (Remixes) EP with remixes from Steve Aoki, Smooth, ETC!ETC!, and Marion Corrales. Other singles include “DIRTY,” a sexy, slithering dance epic (showcasing the “Dirty” in “Dirtyphonics!”), and “Walk In The Fire” ~ a three-song EP package featuring the original track along with remixes by Schoolboy and Culprate.

So where are you going to be having the night of your life of March 27?  That’s right ~ at HoB in Boston for the Excision 2014 tour.  See you there!
