Turquoise Jeep, The Internet’s Favorite YouTube Phenomenon, Is Back with a New Album and Major Tour!

JEEP

Everyone’s favorite internet sensation, Turquoise Jeep, is back and better than ever! With a new album and new tour, the Turquoise Jeep is ridin’ again!

“If you aren’t already listening to Flynt Flossy, Yung Humma, and the rest of Turquoise Jeep Records, it’s time to start.” ~ Colin Joliat, GuyIsm

“Viral hip-hop collective Turquoise Jeep proved they were far more than a satirical YouTube meme. The group put on a tightly executed show that included boy band-level synchronized dance moves, well-scripted between-song banter and a packed house chanting along with their signature track, ‘Lemme Smang It.'” ~ David Greenwald, Billboard

“Celebrated for their innuendo-laden lyrics, infectious hooks, and impressive dance moves, the guys in Turquoise Jeep have built a rabid following. [The group’s productions] lovingly toy with the conventions of old-school hip-hop, R&B and techno.” ~ Peter Holslin, San Diego City Beat

“What the good folks at the Jeep are doing is more sincere than a lot of hip-hop today. They’ve got the bounce of 1980s hip-hop, and harken back to a time when not every single MC was concerned with coming off hard as hell, 24/7.” ~ Dominick Suzanne-Mayer, Heave Media

In December 2013, Turquoise Jeep released their second full-length album, Existing Musical Beings, to ecstatic fans and rave reviews. The group’s first album, Keep the Jeep Ridin’, was released in 2010 via their own record label. The album made waves as the first of its kind and is still a fan favorite.

Known for many viral hits including “Smang It” and “Fried or Fertilized,” which together garnered over 16 million unique views, Turquoise Jeep has proven to be wildly successful and is still growing in popularity around the world. The ensemble, consisting of 8 members fronted by the infamous Flynt Flossy and Yung Humma, has perfected the delicate balance of humor and art, and are one of the few internet acts to have what it takes to turn multiple viral videos into two full albums and on-going nationwide tours.

Like many other visionary artists, Turquoise Jeep founders Flynt Flossy and Whatchyamacallit felt industry boundaries were stifling their creativity. This led them to merge their talents with other like-minded artists to launch their own label, Turquoise Jeep Records, in 2009 and in turn, a genre of music all their own.

Before founding the label, forming the group, and becoming viral YouTube superstars, each member of the outfit was doing their own thing in the music biz. From production to management to choreography, you name it, they’ve done it. And that knowledge, experience, and talent is evident in their work. Turquoise Jeep has left a lasting impression on the lives of people all over the world through their songs, videos, and unbelievable, one-of-a-kind live performances.

Turquoise Jeep fans are unlike any other. There is a cult following surrounding this movement; a family of open-minded, fun-seeking fans from all walks of life that bond over the precise, yet somehow completely unbridled, craft that is the marriage of hip-hop and humor. In the words of Flynt Flossy: “Turquoise Jeep is the art of expression. Another world. And for those who want to be a part of that world, we welcome them with open arms.”

Turquoise Jeep is currently touring with Yip Deceiver (an expirimental electropop duo consisting of Davey Pierce and Nicolas Dobbratz of “of Montreal”).
