Soaked in dark grunge and 90s alt rock, Adrian has the power trio of powerful female vocals, slick guitar notes and great production behind the release of her new album Be Your Own Saviour. The angst and aggression paired with her edgy style create an album that satisfies those looking for hard tunage with just a slight hint of appealing pop.

The album is a heavy rock journey of melancholy nostalgia with Adrian cooing against shaded guitar notes and gritty drum beats. Adrian, never one to leave a listener unelectrified, sewed her songs together and created a solid album that will leave grungy arena pop fans salivating for more.

Adrian is an undeniable front of infectious pop concoction wrapped around electric, bombastic rock and roll.  Frontwoman, guitarist and songwriter Adrian Conner has been wowing live audiences with sweet melody and sheer sonic power since her band’s debut in February 2004.   Adrian also plays lead in Hell’s Belles, an AC/DC tribute band so fearsome that Angus Young himself is a devoted fan.  She’s a deft soloist and a sure hand with a stinging riff, and she’s demonstrated her talents in front of demanding AC/DC fans all over the world. But she’s also a formidable pop-rock songwriter, penning honest, forthright songs spiked with catchy, irresistible hooks.

The press has been hooked on Adrian for a while, and now you will be, too!

“Vocally sweet, musically snarling power trio”  ~ Kevin Curtin, the Austin Chronicle (Nov 22nd 2012)

“The Austin-based power trio..delivers muscular rock & roll without a smidgen of roots, folk, or country, just the 1-4-5 and crank the volume, thank you… B.F.D. positively levitates with energetic tracks.” ~ Margaret Moser, Austin Chronicle (Nov 20, 2009)

“…exciting, rambunctious and kinda scary…” ~ Guitar Player Magazine (2007).

In 2008, Adrian’s endearing melodies as well as her scalding six-string caught the attention of fellow Austin resident, songwriter and bassist for the Go-gos, Kathy Valentine, who produced Adrian’s fourth CD, B.F.D. (2009). Kathy’s attention to sonic detail and eye for the architecture of pop composition resulted in an album that combines the rock fury and dazzling guitar of Angus’ best, with the approachability and energy of early Go-Gos-style surf pop rock.  Adrian released B.F.D. under her own label, Fantom Records, and it charted on CMJ stations across the US and Canada, in early 2010.

2014 marks the release of Adrian’s 5th full length studio album, Be Your Own Saviour, a fitting title as that’s just what Adrian has done since 2000; she’s created and released seven albums. Consistent, commanding, untamed, and with a kinetic live show to level gender bias, Austin’s Adrian are just what the Dr. ordered.
