The six-song collection, produced by Rick Beato (NEEDTOBREATHE, Trey Anastasio, Shinedown, Charlie Mars), is available at all digital retailers. The vinyl edition is available HEREAwakening is the follow-up to von Grey’s self-released, self-titled 2012 EP, which the four Atlanta-based sisters – all under age 20 – supported with non-stop touring and appearances on “Late Show with David Letterman,” “Conan,” NBC’s “Rock Center with Brian Williams” and CNN’s “Road Warriors.”

Von Grey 1von Grey will perform at SXSW and has been tapped to open for Ron Pope on his spring tour, kicking off March 10 in Birmingham, AL. Paste Magazine, praising von Grey’s “powerful harmonies,” premiered “Come On,” the lead single from Awakening. The track can already be heard on radio stations across the U.S., including KSPN (Aspen, CO), KFMU (Steamboat Springs, CO), WZEW (Mobile, AL), WCOO (Charleston, SC), KPND (Spokane, WA), WFIV (Knoxville, TN), KTAO (Taos, NM), WTMD  (Baltimore, MD) and KBAC (Santa Fe, NM).TeamCoco.com recently premiered the video for “Come On,” predicting, “You’re going to want to share this sparkling new video with all your friends before they share it with you.” The clip, which was directed by Mary Caroline Mann and Bobby Russell, can be viewed here.

“Sisters Annika, Fiona, Petra and Kathryn von Grey are ready to rise and shine,” said USA Today, going on to note that Awakening “…showcases their infectious blend of Americana and pop…They have a raw acoustic sound, with a little electronic edge.” “Awakening may be only six songs long, but it offers enough evidence to suggest that [von Grey has] a multihued future ahead of them. The sparkling four part harmonies that illuminate a song like ‘Deliverance’ offers proof aplenty,” said NoDepression.com. “Blending the Celtic stylings of Ireland’s Corrs with the Americana strains of the Civil Wars and First Aid Kit, von Grey is something special,” observed RockWrite.blogspot.com.
