Sleeper Agent @ The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA
You’ve got to be a pretty damn good band to have toured with Weezer, Fun, Grouplove, and others, and that’s just what Sleeper Agent is ~ a damn good garage pop band who’s about to make a major name for themselves.
If the name of the sextet from Bowling Green, KY sounds familiar, it’s probably because of their 2011 debut album Celebrasion, which got a lot of attention from blogosphere straight to the top of national music media.
Their sophomore album, About Last Night, drops March 25 on RCA Records / Mom + Pop. The band fleshed out this record in a log cabin in Middle of Nowhere, East Kentucky, watching The Godfather, cooking family dinners, and emerging five days later with 10 solid tracks. Hey, whatever works for the artistic process, right? We expect big things from this second album given what we heard on Celebrasion!
