Mayan: Lyric Video For “Faceless Spies” Now Available
Led by EPICA guitarist & songwriter Mark Jansen, Dutch symphonic death metal band MAYAN have released a lyric video for the song “Faceless Spies” from their second studio album, Antagonise, due out in North America on February 4th.
MAYAN mastermind Jansen comments: “‘Faceless Spies’ is the last track on the album and deals about governments spying on their people, not only for safety reasons but also in order to control them.” About the album’s theme, he adds: “It’s about the current state of the world in which a small group of elites have all the power and try to dominate humanity. The tension is rising and the outcome yet unknown.”

Antagonise was recorded at Sandlane Studio with producer Joost van den Broek (REVAMP, STREAM OF PASSION). Guests on the album include: Floor Jansen (NIGHTWISH, REVAMP), Marcela Bovio (STREAM OF PASSION), and Greek virtuoso violinist Dimitris Katsoulis.
