Fall 1989: The Long Island Sound(Round Records), a brand-new, six-CD box set from the Jerry Garcia Band and the acoustic duo of Bob Weir and Rob Wasserman, is out today. The collection, which is the latest in a series of archival releases from the Garcia Family, contains more than five and a half hours of previously unreleased music and features cover art by the legendary Stanley Mouse. It captures two complete performances from the storied 1989 East Coast run that featured Garcia’s Grateful Dead band mate Bob Weir and renowned bassist Rob Wasserman setting the stage for two nightly sets from the Jerry Garcia Band: the September 5, 1989 show at Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, CT and the September 6, 1989 concert at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY.
Fans can check out these two tracks from the Hartford, CT show: “Deal” by the Jerry Garcia Band “Throwing Stones” by Bob Weir & Rob Wasserman

The release is available as a six-CD box set or digital download (256 kbps MP3, 44.1kHz/16bit FLAC or 48kHz/24 bit FLAC). Several exclusive bundles are also available at the Official Garcia Store, including the Collectors Edition bundle, housed in a custom-designed, handcrafted solid wood frame. About Jerry Garcia: Jerry Garcia (1942-1995) created an unparalleled legacy across the American landscape, most notably in his role as a founding member, singer, songwriter and lead guitarist of the Grateful Dead. Garcia’s unmistakable guitar tone enchanted multitudes of “Deadheads” throughout the band’s 30-year career and beyond. His work with the Jerry Garcia Band, Old and in the Way, Legion of Mary, Garcia/Grisman and projects with Merl Saunders only scratch at the surface of his musical influences as he set out to master the Great American Songbook. Unequivocally devoted to the craft of music, Garcia continues to inspire future generations through the body of work he has left behind and his creative spirit.
About Warren Haynes: Grammy® Award-winning artist Warren Haynes is a member of three of the greatest live groups in rock history: The Allman Brothers Band, The Dead and his own Gov’t Mule, which has sold more than two million song downloads from their own MuleTracks web site. Haynes, named as one of “The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” by Rolling Stone, has also released three solo albums and performed or recorded with such artists as Phil Lesh & Friends, James Hetfield, Bob Dylan, John Lee Hooker, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Dave Matthews, Kid Rock and B.B.
