Rolling Stone Profiles Reverend Horton Heat; Tour Dates Start Soon!

  • REVEREND HORTON HEAT introduced “psychobilly” to America in 1985
  • What is “pyschobilly”? A fusion of rock music that mixes the best elements of punk rock, rockabilly, blues, surf, and country. It is often played with an upright double bass and a hollowbody electric guitar, creating a commanding stage presence that begs for listeners to swing along.
  • Their hit “Psychobilly Freakout” has become an anthem of sorts for the genre, cementing The Rev’s spot in music history.

 

  • REVEREND HORTON HEAT is adding another notch in their belt by releasing their 11th studio album this November. Throughout their career, the band has sold over a million albums worldwide and has thousands in their flock of followers.
