Peanut Blooder & Jelly Studios: Horror Movies by Kids
Kickstarter Campaign to Fund Horror Film by Pre-teen Filmmakers (click HERE for campaign details)
We recently stumbled upon a very cool children’s filmmaking collective, Peanut Blooder & Jelly Studios, when one of their members, Lucia Ryan, starred in the Walking Shapes video “Horse” (that’s Lucia playing the lead).
We were so blown away by what these kids are doing, we couldn’t resist giving their Kickstarter campaign a little plug.
Peanut Blooder & Jelly Studios is the brainchild of five neighbors: Lucia, Louise, Olive, Toby and Aiden. Ranging between the ages of 8-12, they love being together and love of making scary movies — the scarier and bloodier the better. School lets out at 2:30, and production on their current horror film usually begins around 4pm, and has been known to stretch until Sunday at dark. Makeup techniques, script / plot points, costuming, sound considerations, location and continuity are all negotiated between the five members of the PB&J Studios.
PB&J Studios’ next project is Ring Around the Rosie, short feature horror film. The script is complete, they have started casting real actors, and they are ready to move into production, eager to bring this frighteningly bloody story to their fans! Funds from their Kickstarter campaign will be used to purchase better equipment, to and improve production quality to get to the next level of professional filmmaking.
Kickstarter Fundraising Goals / What the money will be used to:
