Front Row Pix: The Rides + Beth Hart @ Wilbur Theater, Boston

Last week the FlashWounds team was invited to attend a killer rock blues double-header: The Rides with special guest Beth Hart.
Beth Hart is on her first U.S. tour in 12 years in support of her latest album, Bang Bang Boom Boom, which is chock-full of blues and a perfect vehicle for her amazing voice. But as good as Bang Bang sounds, it pales in comparison to her live performance. Some high points included “Caught Out In The Rain” and “Baddest Blues,” both of which brought chills and thrills. If you like blues, this really is a must-see show!
And that’s just the half of it, of course. The Rides came on next and… well, Stephen Stills, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Barry Goldberg together on stage… How could it not sound fantastic? They started out playing songs taken from their first CD together Can’t Get Enough, and rounded out the set by dipping in each other’s rich catalog of hits to the delight of the sold-out crowd.
