The Green River Festival ~ Featuring Gogol Bordello

The Green River Festival is the premier Franklin County Music event of the year, featuring the best national talent, the greatest local food and fine crafts, and the most beautiful hot air balloons. There are three stages of music ~ the Main Stage, the dance tent (aka the Yonder Stage) and a Family Stage ~ so there’s something for everyone. Ticket prices are affordable (kids 12 and under get in for FREE ~ doesn’t get more affordable than that!), there’s reasonably priced onsite parking (with free parking and shuttle bus service also available), and clean, welcoming, safe grounds (the Festival is working on zero trash). All ages are welcome, but no pets, alcohol, or tents are allowed.

The 2013 Green River Festival will be held July 20th and 21st on the grounds of Greenfield Community College (I-91, Exit 26, Greenfield, MA). Weather permitting, hot air balloons fly (with passengers! ~ see the balloon page for more information) on Saturday and Sunday evening and Sunday morning. There is also a balloon illumination on Saturday night.

Gogol Bordello

Presented by the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, the Green River Festival is the Pioneer Valley’s biggest outdoor event of the summer and the only Massachusetts music festival to offer hot air balloons and rides.

This year’s musical line-up includes Gogol Bordello, Brandi Carlile, The Devil Makes Three, The Ryan Montbleau Band, Lux Deluxe, and a whole lot more.  Read up on all the performers here.
