Iration Are Back with a New Album and a Headlining Tour

Reggae, pop, rock heavyweights Iration are back with a new full-length album Automatic, and to celebrate its release will be hitting the road on their “Automatic Tour,” which will stop in Allston, MA on Wednesday, August 21 at Brighton Music Hall with support from Through The Roots, Fortunate Youth and Micah Brown.

Released Tuesday, July 2 via their own 3 Prong Records with distribution through MRI/RED, Automatic marks the third LP from the Hawaiian-bred, Santa Barbara, CA-based band, and first in over three years. On the new album–which hit #1 on the iTunes Reggae albums chart ~ Iration collaborated with Cage The Elephant guitarist Lincoln Parish who is featured on several tracks and helped co-produce select songs on the album along with long term studio partner JP Hesser of Castaway 7 Studios in Ventura, CA. Focus track “Back Around” is already receiving airplay nationally with adds at 91X in San Diego, 92.9 KJEE in Santa Barbara, 98.7 WRMR in Wilmington, NC, 102.7 WJSE in Atlanta City, 107.3 KURQ in San Luis Obispo, CA, 101.9 KUCD in Honolulu, and many more.

The title track ‘Automatic’ is a tribute to our fans. We owe them everything.”

The band’s last full-length album, Time Bomb, was released in March 2010 and quickly hit #1 on the iTunes Reggae Albums chart, #40 on iTunes’ overall music chart, #2 on Billboard’s Reggae Albums chart and #30 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart. Their massive hit single “Falling” has sold over 83,000 copies and earned over 3.4 million combined YouTube plays. Iration’s last release, 2011’s Fresh Grounds EP, also debuted impressively on multiple charts, coming in at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart and breaking into the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.

Iration ~ Micah Pueschel (Guitar/Vocals), Joe Dickens (Drums), Adam Taylor (Bass) and Cayson Peterson (Keyboards) ~ is constantly on the road and have already performed at such high-profile music festivals as Lollapalooza, Wakarusa, California Roots Festival, Cypress Hill’s annual SmokeOut Festival, the Sunset Strip Music Festival, Hurley’s US Open of Surfing and many more. This summer, they’ll be supporting Sublime With Rome on select dates as well as performing with reggae legends Steel Pulse in Costa Mesa, CA before their own headlining “Automatic Tour” kicks off and keeps them on the road through the fall.
