The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival is proud to announce the partnership of iHome and Metal Of Honor, an awareness and fundraising effort focused on the needs and challenges of our active duty military, veterans and their families. The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival has supported Hope For The Warriors® and The Pathway Home, both national not-for-profit organizations dedicated to the many challenges facing our veterans, since their inception.

“Giving back and showing gratitude to those that have sacrificed for all of us and those who continue to sacrifice is the message we want to spread,” comment Mayhem producers John Reese and Kevin Lyman.

As a part of this effort, all military personnel will be granted early entry to the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival dates upon showing their military I.D. All military veterans are encouraged to go to the Metal Of Honor tent, located in the festival area, to obtain their Metal Of Honor wristband and information on the various charities supporting their needs.

The Metal Of Honor wristband will identify our military patrons as veterans for the crew, bands and fellow patrons. If you see a Metal Of Honor wristband at our festival, say, “Thank you!” to the person wearing it and acknowledge his or her service in whatever way you can!

Each veteran over the age of 21 will receive a raffle ticket for a custom Metal of Honor/Jägermeister guitar to be presented to one of these hometown heroes on the main stage to thank them for their service.

A portion of the proceeds of each Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival ticket sold will go to Hope For The Warriors® and the Pathway Home to further aid them in continuing their vital work. In addition, the Metal Of Honor partnership with iHome’s awareness campaign will include a text-to-donate campaign, wrapping one of the tour’s semi-trucks with logos of the charities (providing nationwide exposure on major highways throughout North America for over six weeks), and more. Additional social media outreach efforts will be put in place to bring this important message to fans of rock music worldwide.  Metal Of Honor in partnership with iHome will also have an onsite presence at each festival date highlighting Hope For The Warriors®, The Pathway Home, and other charities of support.

Five Finger Death Punch announced a suicide prevention initiative promoting the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.   In cooperation with the Lifeline, the band has filmed a public service announcement, which will be placed on all broadcast, cable and web outlets interested in supporting the initiative.

Veterans CrisisThe National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is an asset for the general public that also provides a special service for veterans and members of the military. When calling 800-273-TALK (8255), the individual dialing will be linked to the nearest of over 150 local crisis centers across the country to speak with a trained crisis worker. The caller may “press 1″ if he/she is a veteran, military service member or concerned about one, which will route the call to the confidential national Veterans Crisis Line.

ffdpEarlier this year, Five Finger Death Punch returned from a visit to military bases across Kuwait, where they touched down for performances and or visits on bases that included Camp Moreell, Camp Beuhring, Camp Patriot and others. This was the band’s second visit overseas to perform for the troops in two years. At the time, singer Ivan Moody shared with Blabbermouth, “What a stellar way to start the spring. Playing for the troops is always an honor and seriously humbling. Can’t say enough about the experience — everyone was so respectful and warm. I hope we helped morale and it was a privilege to give back to those that give so much for us.”

Metal of Honor in partnership with iHome and the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival are proud to provide local veteran hiring and job placement information at each city date at the Metal Of Honor in partnership with iHome tent. This valuable material will be provided by Military.com, a leader in providing career and educational opportunities for service members, veterans and military spouses.

“Because sometimes the road to excellence requires a helping hand…” Supporting: Resiliency, Recovery, & Re-transition

Mayhem 3The Pathway Home Program is a residential recovery program specifically created for, and dedicated to serving, our nation’s “New Warriors” ~ those of any age who have served our nation’s Global War on Terror in areas of the world such as Afghanistan and Iraq. Our New Warriors have survived the stressors of war, but may find themselves experiencing problems that are “getting in the way” of their post-deployment functioning. The Pathway Program can help to address those problems and maximize each Warrior’s mental and physical heath, coping, resiliency, and overall functioning ~ whether that is post-deployment, or to re-deployment, or civilian status.

The goal of The Pathway Home is to provide a comprehensive program of treatment and support for its Warriors so that each one can continue to recover from the effects of war or combat or other traumatic military-related stressors. The Pathway Home Program is a place where each warrior can: Capitalize on Resiliency; Re-new and Extend the many Strengths developed during military training, experiences, and career, Strengthen Coping Skills, Strengthen Relationships with self, friends, co-workers, and family members, and Work toward meeting the Challenges of Transitioning to post-deployment, re-deployment, or civilian life.
