Los Angeles Alt-Rock Powerhouse Cosmic Suckerpunch Releases New EP Breathe

For the past few years, the independent Los Angeles Neo-Psychedelia Hard Rock band Cosmic Suckerpunch has set the Hollywood concert circuit ablaze with their spine tingling guitar licks, satirical lyrics, and jaw dropping performances. Now, fresh off a successful Spring Tour which included four shows at SXSW 2013, they have just been added to the inaugural Life is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas with headliners The Killers, Kings of Leon and Beck.

The band’s latest EP, Breathe, builds on the band’s natural ability to stun and surprise listeners. New single “Glad You’re Here Now” sets the anthemic tone of the album, with clear-cut catchy chorus and driving rhythm to revel in, while lead track “That Voice” ravages you in true rock style, awakening you with the delivery of well-crafted guitar riffage. With this new EP, from the head-banging onslaught of “Mindbender” to the sweet, neo-psych vibe of “Breathe In The Air,” Cosmic Suckerpunch is ready to burst into the musical stratosphere.
Landing on Earth in 2009, Cosmic Suckerpunch is a true rock brotherhood comprised of Ari Welkom (guitar / lead vocals) brothers, Fabien Hameline (guitar) & Sebastian Hameline (bassist) and Adam Timmerman (drums). The fearless foursome play spacey licks and heady songs rooted in blues and funk, and indebted to imaginative fantasy rock music in the spirit of Led Zeppelin and T Rex (with a tip of the hat to Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, U2, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, Arcade Fire and AC/DC, too).
