Excision’s Brain-Melting Set @ House Of Blues Boston

By Frank Poulin

Last Friday I caught Excision’s Execution Tour when it stopped in Boston, and I’m glad I did. The crowd was pumped up and ready from the moment Vaski walked on stage to deliver a great opener, and things just got crazier through Paper Diamond‘s set later on. By the time Excision appeared — safely nestled in his massive 3D bunker on stage — everybody was good and ready to get blasted by his trademark earthquake of bass. Good thing I brought earplugs, my liquefied brain would have leaked through my ears :) Big lights, big sound, big party on the dance floor… Friday night well spent!

Some of my shots from the event:

  1. These are some really cool shots! Did you get any more pictures of the fans? A bunch of people are looking for their photos

    • Unfortunately, I didn’t bring a flash with me (I never do since 99% of show stipulate that they’re not allowed when shooting from the pit). Without it I couldn’t really take usable pictures of fans in the relative darkness of the dance floor :(

But I’ve learned my lesson: I’m hitting the Gramatik show @ Royale this week and I’m definitely bringing a flash!
