American Fangs Announce Debut Album, SXSW Showcase, and North American Tour Dates with Hollywood Undead

American Fangs

American Fangs, In De Goot Entertainment’s latest rock discovery, are set to release their self-titled debut album on In De Goot Recordings via RED Distribution on May 14th. The Houston quintet’s hotly anticipated full length album is set to deliver eleven tunes that will bring out your inner rock star, punch you in the face with guitars, assault you with loud, crisp gunshot drums, and deliver lyrics that will make you think as well as sing along. Free Press Houston says of the Fangs, “It’s obvious these dudes mean business. Frontman Gabe Cavazos has a stage presence that is unmatched and the band’s insightful and intelligent lyrics combine with hooks that stay stuck in your head for days. In a time where radio rock is stale, Fangs bring something new to the table, the edge that has been missing since the early ‘90s.” The album was recorded at Vudu Studios in NY, and co-produced by Mike Watts (Deer Hunter, Theory of a Deadman, Adelitas Way) and American Fangs.

Preview tracks from American Fangs include the first single, “Pomona,” “Le Kick,” and “Gimme Gimme.” Listen HERE.  The band is filming a music video for “Pomona” with famed director/photographer Robert John Kley (10 Years, In This Moment) in Houston next week.

Cavazos says of the band’s debut, “Hopefully the audience welcomes our trashy pop tunes. We think we’ve done a successful job of creating some catchy tunes that we love, while remaining drenched in sweat and danger. There’s no fall back plan with our rock music. We’re gonna go as high as we can till we pop.”

The Fangs take their sound on the road, starting with a special performance at Sony City at SXSW, Thursday, March 14 at 4pm at Hangar Lounge. In April, they hit the road as support to Hollywood Undead.

American Fangs are Gabriel Cavazos (vocals), Micah Miller (drums), Kyle Shimek (bass), Nik Slimp (guitar) and Beau Gobert (guitar).

More buzz…

“It’s obvious that the band isn’t afraid to incorporate many different styles into their music and this fearlessness sets it apart from many other bands. The band’s self-titled EP is filled with short but worthwhile tracks that somehow had me singing the band’s hooks long after listening.” The Daily Chorus

“There isn’t a single song by these rockers that doesn’t sound like it was made with rock radio in mind…Snarling, edgy, and just a bit dangerous, the Fangs are a headbanger’s dream.” ~ Houston Night Life
