Gojira, Devin Townsend Project & The Atlas Moth Rock The Palladium in Worcester

By Frank Poulin

Worcester fans were treated to the big sound of Gojira on February 15 and the FlashWounds team were lucky enough to be invited to the show.

First off was a very tight opening set by The Atlas Moth ~ so good in fact that I promptly walked over to the merch table and bought their latest CD, An Ache For The Distance. Then the larger-than-life and ever entertaining Devin Townsend came out with his band and wrapped the audience around his finger, even getting them to sing along while doing jazz hands by the end of the set.

By the time Gojira came out the fans were fully fired up and ready for the sonic onslaught ~ a good thing since the band unleashed some seriously loud metal, a great set that culminated in brothers Joe (vocals, guitar) and Mario (drums) Duplantier switching places to close out the set.
