“Symptoms” Is iTunes Single Of The Week

Sold-Out Tour With Imagine Dragons Underway With Headline Tour To Follow

Atlas GeniusWhen It Was Now (Warner Bros. Records), the full-length debut from Atlas Genius, is out today. Brothers Keith and Michael Jeffery wrote, recorded and produced the album at a studio they built in their hometown of Adelaide, Australia. They will perform their hit single “Trojans” on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” tonight and play a record release show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY tomorrow, February 20th. The record release show will be broadcast by SiriusXM Alt Nation on Friday evening and then throughout the weekend.

Their song “Symptoms” is currently the iTunes Single of the Week. New single “If So,” praised by Rolling Stone for its “…dream-like guitar licks, shifty hi-hats and a meaty bass backbone,” is already gaining momentum at radio and online, where it has over 75,000 Sound Cloud streams in two weeks.

The band recently introduced new songs off of When It Was Now

“Electric” via Neon Gold

“Centred On You” via Indie Shuffle

“Trojans” was heard in the NBC series “Deception” last night and has also been featured in “Grey’s Anatomy” and “90210.” A Top 5 Modern Rock/Top 10 Triple A radio hit, “Trojans” has already sold over 200,000 tracks in the U.S. The band recently picked up a SiriusXM Alt Nation award for “Best In-Studio Performance” for “Trojans,” which spent four consecutive weeks as the #1 requested track on Alt Nation’s listener generated Alt-18 countdown.

Atlas Genius has been named an “Artist To Watch” on MTV and will be featured in a two-week campaign on the channel beginning April 22nd. The band will also be performing their new single “If So” on VH1’s “Big Morning Buzz Live” on February 25th.

Their sold-out tour with Imagine Dragons is underway and stops at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom on February 23rd and theAtlas Genius2 Wiltern in Los Angeles on March 20th. Atlas Genius will perform at SXSW on March 13th (KCRW’s Official SXSW nighttime showcase) and March 14th (The Warner Sound showcase). They have also just announced new shows at The Bowery Ballroom in New York, Edgefest in Dallas, and Sasquatch! Festival at The Gorge in Washington. Tickets for Atlas Genius’ first-ever North American headline tour have been selling so quickly that many shows have been moved to larger venues. Their Headlining Tour will kick off at Emo’s East in Austin, TX on April 25th and go through the end of June. See below for an updated itinerary. Additional dates will be announced soon.

Neon Gold said that When It Was Now “…promises to be one of the year’s most impressive debuts,” NYLON tipped Atlas Genius as one of the top five bands to watch out for in 2013 and Entertainment Weekly named them as one of “15 New Stars We Love,” observing: “The Australian brothers deliver dance rock with smart melodic swagger.”

Taking its inspiration from the album artwork, the trailer for When It Was Now was shot underwater. It was directed by Claire Marie Vogel, who lensed the “Trojans” and “Symptoms” videos. When It Was Now is available now here. The track listing is as follows:
