Age of End Nominated for Best Metal/Hardcore Band by The New England Music Awards

On February 17, Massachusetts’ own Age of End released the following statement about their NEMA nomination. We at FW.com can’t wait for them to bring home the award ~ go get it, guys!

“We are extremely excited and proud to announce that we have been nominated for the best Metal/Hardcore award by the New England Music Awards! This is such an honor because these nominations are handed down solely by music industry professionals throughout New England. Every year, the NEMAS pick one band in each New England state to represent the Metal/Hardcore genre, and this year we have been given the privilege of representing Massachusetts!! We cannot be more grateful or humbled by this honor!

Here’s a little bit about the awards, and the ceremony which will be held at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium on April 13th:

The New England Music Awards are presented every year to the musicians who call New England their home and whose dedication, spirit, and achievements over the last year have without a doubt established themselves as a contributing force to the most robust and diverse music scene in the country. The NEMA nominating committee consists of journalists from music publications, radio personalities, talent buyers, and record label execs collectively representing all six New England states.

The goal of NEMA is to celebrate and recognize some of the areas best musical achievements. Every year NEMA will nominate over 100 artists and/or bands spanning a number of categories and genres of popular music in New England, including the coveted individual state awards which will select one band/act from each of the six states as its Best In State.

We are so grateful for this opportunity, and humbled by the nomination!
